Remember To Update Your GPS
How many of you reading this have put off updating a piece of hardware or software when you are initially asked? Many of us sometimes set the task aside claiming that we will get to it later, but sometimes we forget. You should always update your tech when the option is given to you and the same is especially true when you are using a Global Positioning System (GPS).
Need an example? I’ll give you one. About a month ago I was planning a road trip from Austin to Dallas and I needed the GPS for some of the more complicated sections. I had just turned on the ADT alarm systems Austin service I had and I was ready to pull out of the driveway when I got a message to update my GPS. I ignored it feeling that it was unnecessary and the system ran off of the old map data it had on file. The problem was that one of the major roads I was taking didn’t exist anymore and the long short of it, is that I almost ended up in a ditch.
That’s why you must always update your GPS. Roads change just as surely as the winds and you don’t want to get into an accident using outdated information.
